License agreement

By using a Magic Toolbox product, you confirm that you have read and agreed to this license agreement.

1. You may use the product on commercial websites by purchasing a commercial use license. A commercial website means:
   1. any site which is built, owned or maintained by a profit-making person or organisation, even if the site does not generate revenue;
   2. any site which generates revenue, even if it's otherwise non-commercial;
   3. government, government-agency or political-party websites.
2. You may use the product on non-commercial websites free of charge subject to the terms of this license. A non-commercial website means:
   1. personal or hobby sites which generate no revenue (whether from advertising, commissions, sales or any other source);
   2. websites owned and maintained by charitable or not-for-profit organisations;
   3. websites owned and maintained by a school, college or other educational institution.
3. A single website license allows you to use the product on one website. This could be your website or a website you build/maintain for someone else. The term "one website" means a single website of a single person or organisation. (In most cases, that would be a single domain, although there could feasibly be multiple websites on a single domain e.g. through the use of subdomains). A 5 site license allows you to use the product on up to 5 websites, a 10 site license on up to 10 websites and an unlimited license on as many websites as you manage.
4. You can not agree to these terms on behalf of a third-party - if your own interest in the site is in any way commercial (for example, a freelancer being paid to build it) then a commercial license is always required, even if the site is for a non-commercial organisation.
5. You may not sell, redistribute or offer for download any of our products in any form or in any medium, whether original or modified or for profit or not.
6. You agree not to alter or remove any of the source code without explicit written permission from Magic Toolbox.
7. You agree not to use the product on illegal sites, or on pages which contain illegal material.
8. The terms of this agreement shall be governed by English law, therefore you may not use the product at all in jurisdictions where this agreement is itself illegal, or where you are not empowered to enter into such an agreement.
9. You guarantee not to hold Magic Toolbox responsible for any problems you may encounter, whether directly, indirectly or not at all caused by your use of any of our products.

Request a non-commercial license

Get a license to use our products free of charge on a non-commercial website (as defined in the license agreement above). Here is a summary:

• Yes: personal websites and blogs, charities, schools, NGOs.
• No: sites owned by companies, sites with paid adverts, sites that generate revenue.

How to get a free license:

1. Download and implement the demo version of your preferred tool.
2. Credit us by writing a few words about the tool somewhere on your website and include a link to our website.
3. Complete the form below. We will normally review your site within 24 hours.

Upgrades

New versions are released from time to time with enhancements and new features. You can either upgrade free or enjoy a 50% discount. Here's how you qualify:

• Free upgrade - free if you bought within 90 days of a new version number (e.g. from v1.0 to v2.0) and forever for all upgrades within the version number (e.g. from v2.0 to v2.1).
• Paid upgrade - discount of 50% on current price if you bought 91 days or more before a full new version was released (e.g. from v1.0 to v2.0). All upgrades within the version number are free (e.g. from v2.0 to v2.1).
